It's a little mono-hue but some of the text fonts are pretty cool. I think the guy (I'm guessing your brother) looks a little young to be on it and I reckon you could get a much better picture! Even use the same dude, slap some make-up on him and put him in skinnies and you're sorted!
Nice main picture though! Proper teen angst going on there.

I agree with Glenn that the boy looks too young to be the front cover of a music magazine although I think the layout of your front cover is good! Maybe changing the colour of the font against your background could make it more eye-catching.
